Sexual Integrity and the Body

Almost every men's curriculum eventually addresses this terrain, and most of them handle it badly — through shame-based messaging, workshop-style accountability frameworks, or cultural-war framing. This collection treats sexuality and the body theologically and pastorally, engaging the actual struggle most men carry without either softening the call or shaming the strugglers. It asks the deeper questions — what the body is for, what sexuality is for, what the gospel actually says to a man trying to live faithfully — drawing on Genesis on the body in creation, the Song of Songs on the goodness of sexuality, Matthew 5 on the heart, and 1 Corinthians 6 on the body as the temple of the Spirit, alongside the long Christian tradition of teaching on chastity. And it widens the lens beyond temptation to embodiment itself — the body across a lifespan, neither a project to optimize nor a vehicle to use up, but a theological reality from the young man's strength to the older man's acceptance to the resurrection's promise (1 Corinthians 6, Romans 12, Psalm 139, and Paul's "the outer man is wasting away while the inner man is renewed day by day"). Honest about the men who have abused their bodies and the men who have idolized them; free of the shame-based messaging that doesn't work and that the gospel does not authorize; practical without ever becoming a behavior-management program.
