Terms of Service

Last updated: February 26, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Appostolic platform, including all related websites, applications, and services (the “Service”), operated by Appostolic (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service as an administrator, creator, or teacher. Learner accounts for minors may be created by authorized church administrators or parents with appropriate consent.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Organization administrators are responsible for managing their members’ access levels and ensuring that members use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or share through the Service, including sermons, lessons, growth activities, and teaching materials (“Your Content”).

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your organization. We will not use Your Content for any other purpose, including marketing or AI model training.

Your theology, your teaching, your content — it stays yours.

AI-assisted features

The Service includes AI-assisted features that help with lesson generation, growth activity creation, and other teaching preparation tasks. When using these features:

  • AI operates only within the boundaries you configure (denominational, church-level, and content restrictions)
  • All AI-generated output requires your explicit review and acceptance before it becomes part of your teaching content
  • AI does not autonomously publish, modify, or canonicalize teaching content
  • You, as the teacher or pastor, remain the author of all published content

AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed for accuracy and theological alignment with your convictions before use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
  • Circumvent or disable security features, guardrails, or access controls
  • Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Subscriptions and billing

Plans and pricing

The Service is offered through subscription plans with varying features and usage limits. Current pricing is available on our pricing page. We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice.

Billing cycle

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. Payment is processed through Stripe.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the free tier. Your content will remain accessible.

Refunds

We generally do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us and we will work to resolve the issue.

Service availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned downtime when possible.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by Appostolic and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

As stated above, you retain ownership of all content you create through the Service. We claim no intellectual property rights over Your Content.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or ministry opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Theological disclaimer

Appostolic is a tool for teaching preparation, not a theological authority. While we provide denominational guardrails and content boundaries, the theological accuracy and appropriateness of all teaching content remains the responsibility of the human authors and their church leadership.

AI-generated suggestions should always be reviewed by qualified teachers or pastors before use. We do not endorse, certify, or guarantee the theological correctness of any content created using the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of termination.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may request an export of Your Content within 30 days of termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, by email or in-app notification.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
