*Spiritual Disciplines for Ordinary Life — Kids Edition* invites children into a joyful friendship with Jesus through simple practices that shape everyday life. Each week explores one way we can notice and join God’s Kingdom at work — praying, listening to Scripture, serving others, resting, and more. Through stories, activities, and prayer, kids learn that following Jesus isn’t just for church time — it’s a whole‑life adventure with Him, right where they live, learn, and play.

Sample Content

Jesus’ friends once asked Him how to pray. They saw that Jesus talked to God like He really knew Him—as someone He loved and trusted. So Jesus said, “When you pray, say this…” and then He gave them a simple prayer to help them remember who God is and what matters most. Jesus told them to start by calling God “Father.” That means we are God’s children—loved and cared for. He said to pray for God’s name to be honored and His Kingdom to come, which means we want God’s goodness to fill our world. Then Jesus taught them to ask for what they need each day—like food, forgiveness, and help forgiving others. And He said to ask for God’s help to stay close to Him and make good choices.
